PASTOR
KEITH GAUGHF

Keith Gaughf became the pastor of First United Methodist Church of Brookhaven in July 2025. We are so blessed to have him as the leader of our church!

"I believe everyone should be welcome in the church regardless of who they are or where they are from or whatever is going on in their lives. It is not our job to change a person. It is our job to introduce them to Christ, who, if He so desires, can and will change their hearts and minds and lives."

UPCOMING EVENTS

Beginning October 1st at 9:30,

the FUMC Wednesday morning Bible Study group will take a deep dive into the teachings of John in a special 11-week DISCIPLE Bible Study in the Chapel. This study will go through Christmas.

All are welcome to join us. The companion study guide is recommended to accompany the weekly lessons. If you would like to participate, good used copies of the workbook will be available from Suzanne Britt, or you can order from Amazon or any other online book seller. ISBN 13 — 9780687642571

Hop on the church bus on Friday, October 24th at 11am to explore the home of beloved writer Eudora Welty and to fuel up with soul food at Mama Hamil’s legendary buffet in Madison, MS. The group admission fee to the Welty House and Garden is $8 per person. Mama Hamil’s has a fixed price of $14.95 per person + tax and any tip. Everyone is welcome to join us. If you are interested, please contact Steve Jones or the church office to get on the reservation list.

Join us for a night of fun, food, games, and contests on Wednesday, October 29th from 5-7pm. There will be a chili cook-off and costume contest along with several carnival-style games. This celebration will be fun for all ages; we hope to see you there!
